One day King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah and had him brought to the third entrance of the LORD’s Temple. “I want to ask you something,” the king said. “And don’t try to hide the truth.”

Zedekiah was a weak leader

• He allowed Jeremiah to be thrown in the cistern to please the princes of Judah.
• He allowed Jeremiah to be pulled out of the cistern to please Ebed-Melech.

Warren Wiersbe says Zedekiah wanted

• the intercession of the man of God, but did not want the instruction of the Word God.
• God to be his servant and deliver the city, but he was not willing to be God’s servant and obey His Word.

He asks this:

• Do I ask for help only in emergencies, or do you seek His direction each day?

I never noticed the word rainbow in Ezekiel. After digging, I found the word is mentioned seven times in the Bible. (NLT)

All around him was a glowing halo, like a rainbow shining in the clouds on a rainy day. This is what the glory of the LORD looked like to me. When I saw it, I fell face down on the ground, and I heard someone’s voice speaking to me.
