RTW 2024

After seven days the LORD gave me a message. He said, “Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately. If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths. If you warn them and they refuse to repent and keep on sinning, they will die in their sins. But you will have saved yourself because you obeyed me.”

Ezekiel 3:16-19

The prophet Jeremiah gave this message to Seraiah son of Neriah and grandson of Mahseiah, a staff officer, when Seraiah went to Babylon with King Zedekiah of Judah. This was during the fourth year of Zedekiah’s reign.
Jeremiah 51:59

• God’s people had feared exile for many reasons. 
• The history of the people is tied to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 
• The history of the people is tied to God’s dwelling place. 
• The history of the people is tied to the land. 
• Exile means leaving the land. 
• Exile means leaving the “god of the land”, in their minds. 
• Exile means leaving the dwelling place of God. 
• God has prepared them for exile through His prophets. 
• God will continue to speak to His people through His prophets. 
• Jeremiah is in Jerusalem. 
• Ezekiel is in the land of the exile. 
• Daniel is in the palace of the exile. 
• God will teach His people that He is not like the “gods of the land.”
• God is with His people. 
• God has promises to keep. 

Know God through His Word. He is not like the “gods of the land”...He is the one true God. Know Him. Love Him. Serve Him.
