Psalm 44:26

In crisis and defeat, both nationally and personally:

• Remember all He has done for you, and tell Him what you remember.
• Declare your trust in God and His provisions for victory, and tell Him that you trust Him.
• Stay faithful, no matter what happens, and tell Him that you will remain faithful.

I love what Spurgeon said about our key verse:

Rise up! Help us! Ransom us because of your unfailing love.
Psalm 44:26

“A short, but sweet and comprehensive prayer, much to the point, clear, simple, urgent, as all prayers should be.”

The exact same words penned twice in one psalm and once in another. The psalmist must have been in a bad way. I’m glad I’m not the only one who repeats myself to the Lord.
