2 Samuel 2:4a
David didn’t rush in blindly and seize it. Instead, he carefully sought the LORD. David knew the promise was from God, so he knew God could fulfill it without any manipulation from him.
The truth is, almost fulfilled may come before fully fulfilled. When the promise is almost fulfilled:
Our lives should be lived in the same manner whether our promise is fully or almost fulfilled.
Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, performed great exploits. He struck down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.
1 Chronicles 11:22 (NIV)

Live my life the same manner whether my promise is fully or almost fulfilled.
