But my servant Caleb has a different attitude than the others have. He has remained loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored. His descendants will possess their full share of that land.‍
Numbers 14:24
‍
Have I ever been on the edge of my place of promise only for God to turn me back because of my attitude?
Do I have a spirit ofÂ
- Rebellion or cooperation?
- Commitment to God or waywardness?
- Obedience or disobedience?
- Self-centeredness or God-centeredness?
My attitude can determine my direction and the destiny of descendants.
- Examine me, O LORD, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.
Psalm 26:2 (NASB) ‍ - LORD, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You.
Psalm 38:9 (ESV) ‍ - Would not God find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
Psalm 44:21 (NASB)
Questions to ask myself?
- What have I missed because I had the wrong attitude?
- How often has God turned me around because of my attitude?
- What will my descendants experience, or not experience because of my attitude?
- Does it seem like I am wandering? Like my direction keeps changing? Maybe I need to change my attitude.
They actually plotted to go back.
