But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble. For if others see you—with your “superior knowledge”—eating in the temple of an idol, won’t they be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been offered to an idol? So because of your superior knowledge, a weak believer for whom Christ died will be destroyed. And when you sin against other believers by encouraging them to do something they believe is wrong, you are sinning against Christ. So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble.

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13

• A stumbling block is an action taken by a biblically informed believer, that does not in itself violate any scriptural precept or principle, but which a less knowledgeable believer might imitate in a way that violates his conscience. 
• It is a deliberate flaunting of Christian liberty, at the expense of others. 
• Our liberty is not worth another’s walk with God. 
• We are given great liberty in Christ. 
• Our greatest liberty is to consider others’ welfare above our own. 
• We live disciplined lives. 
• We love others more than ourselves. 
• We live with the knowledge that every thought, word, and action is open before a holy God. 
• We seek to glorify God in everything we say and do.
