When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For,

“Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?

Who knows enough to teach him?”

But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:13-16

Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, an eloquent speaker who knew the Scriptures well, had arrived in Ephesus from Alexandria in Egypt. He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.
Acts 18:24-28

• Paul is writing to the church at Corinth to encourage unity. 
• One way in which all believers are united is we have the mind of Christ. 
• We understand God’s plan in the world. 
• God’s plan is to bring glory to Himself. 
• God’s plan is to restore creation to its original splendor. 
• God’s plan is to provide salvation to sinners. 
• The mind of Christ stands in contrast to the wisdom of man. 
• The mind of Christ involves the wisdom of God, once hidden and now revealed. 
• The mind of Christ is given to believers through the Holy Spirit. 
• The mind of Christ cannot be understood by those without the Spirit. 
• The mind of Christ gives believers spiritual discernment. 
• We must respond. 
• We must yield to the Holy Spirit. 
• We must allow the Spirit to transform our mind. 
• We must allow the Spirit to renew our mind. 
• We must choose the mind of Christ every day.
