Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!

They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them, who said, “The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter.”

The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

• Stories and imaginations don’t often change lives so radically that someone is willing to die for their faith, but encounters with the living Jesus did. 
• After the best Bible study in history with Jesus…so good that their hearts burned…they ran back to Jerusalem
• They weren’t scared any more. 
• Jesus was alive!!!
