Satan tempted Jesus in the same way he tempts us.

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

We aren’t tempted without a way out.

• The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

• Study the Scriptures
• Know the Scriptures that help me rightly face the temptations of my life

We must keep our weapon sharp.

• and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
  Ephesians 6:17b
