Should we continue to mourn and fast each summer on the anniversary of the Temple’ destruction, as we have done for so many years?
Zechariah 7:3bÂ
While in captivity the Isarelties started some new traditions… traditions aren’t wrong, but after some time, we need to examine why we do what we do.
Warren Wiersbe offers some examination questions:
Am I doing this unto the Lord?
Does doing this help me serve others?
Does doing this make me obedient to God’s Word?
Warren warns also, that traditions can harden our hearts toward God.
When I live according to God’s standards and obedient to His instructions, then I don’t need to ask, “Why do I do what I do,” I’ll know… to glorify God and grow His Kingdom.
The first chariot was pulled by red horses, the second by black horses, the third by white horses, and the fourth by powerful dappled-gray horses.
Zechariah 6:2-3
Bible commentators having differing thoughts about these chariots and horses.
Live to glorify God and grow His Kingdom.
