I warned you when you were prosperous, but you replied, âDonât bother me.â You have been that way since childhoodâ you simply will not obey me!
Jeremiah 22:21
What is my response when Holy Spirit taps my heart with a warning?
Naturally, we donât verbally say âdonât bother meâ however, what we donât say with our words, we often say with our actions.
Anything but repentance, submission, and obedience is heard as âdonât bother me.â
For a while, things may seem fine on the mount of âdonât bother me,â but it wonât be long until those things that were going fine fall apart and we are faced with the consequences of our own choices.
God has a history of removing His hand from those He loves when they:
Itâs time we grow up spiritually. A growing child of God:
Then the officials and the people said to the priests and prophets, âThis man does not deserve the death sentence, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.â
Jeremiah 26:16
The priests and prophets refer to God as âour Godâ. If they knew God, then why was their response to Him disobedience and idolatry.
Never say with action or words âdonât bother meâ to the Lord.
