The high and lofty one who lives in eternity,
the Holy One, says this:

“I live in the high and holy place
with those whose spirits are contrite and humble.
I restore the crushed spirit of the humble
and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”

Isaiah 57:15

But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
Isaiah 53:5

• Churches often hold “revivals.”
• This is not what we are looking at today. 
• God alone can bring revival. 
• Revival cannot be scheduled. 
• God desires to revive His people. 
• God promises to revive His people. 
• Revival is a movement of God. 
• Our role in bringing revival is to prepare the way. 
• Preparing the way begins with exalting God. 
• Preparing the way continues with exalting His Word. 
• Preparing the way continues in repentance. 
• Repenting speaks of change of behavior and mindset/attitude. 
• God promises to revive the contrite and humble. 
• God promises to bring revival to the hearts and lives of those who prepare. 
• Revival comes when God’s people want to see it.
