The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
Psalm 93:1

When my world feels like it is shaking, Godâs Word says âthe world stands firm, and cannot be shaken.â
The world cannot be shaken because
âWhat can give greater joy to a loyal subject than a sight of the king in his beauty? Let us repeat the proclamation, âthe Lord reigneth,â whispering it in the ears of the desponding, and publishing it in the face of the foe.â - Charles Spurgeon
Psalm 93 is one of the theocratic, or enthronement psalms, that describe God in role as sovereign and righteous ruler.Â
We cry out:
How long, O LORD? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat? How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? They crush your people, LORD, hurting those you claim as your own. They kill widows and foreigners and murder orphans.
Psalm 94:3-6
They think:
âThe LORD isnât looking,â they say, âand besides, the God of Israel doesnât care.â
Psalm 94:7
We beg:
God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The LORD our God will destroy them.
Psalm 94:23
Because the world is firm and not shaken, I can stand firm and not shaken.
