Hosea 10:12

Fallow: plowed and left unseeded for a season or more; uncultivated; not in use; inactive
Fallowed ground must be broken. One commenter said, âIf fallow ground could talk it would probably cry when it's plowed.â

Gilgal was a center of idolatry but was once a place where the prophets were trained under Elijah and Elisha. (2 Kings 2:1, 4:38. Hosea 4:15, 12:11. Amos 4:4, 5:5)
The LORD says, All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels.
Hosea 9:15
