A prophet in the Old Testament was someone who was used by God to communicate His message to the world.
God called some prophets to write, and others He did not.
God called some prophets to bring a message to the people.
God called some prophets to bring a message to a king.
A prophet was called to remind the people of their position as the covenant people of God.
A prophet was called to remind the people of their purpose of living set apart to draw people to God.
A prophet was called to remind the people that their disobedience would remove them from their place.
Prophets will continue to speak throughout the Old Testament.
Prophets will foretell and forthtell.
Prophets will call kings and people to remember the Lord.
Their messages are still important today.
