Failing to follow God’s full and complete instructions will cause splinters in my spiritual life as we face the unnecessary. 

What’s it like to have something in your eye?

• Obscures you vision.
• Throws you off balance.
• Causes you pain.
• Makes your eyes water.

These same symptoms are exhibited my life when I fail to follow God’s instructions.

• Our spiritual vision will be unnecessarily obscured.
• Our spiritual well-being and direction be unnecessarily thrown off.
• Our spiritual life will experience unnecessary pain.
• Our eyes will water as we cry out to God for direction and delivery.

Caleb outlived Joshua.

Just believe and obey the first time, but when I don’t, when I get stronger, then obey completely, so I can avoid the unnecessary.
