RTW 2024

This is the message Balaam delivered:

“This is the message of Balaam son of Beor,
the message of the man whose eyes see clearly,
the message of one who hears the words of God,
who has knowledge from the Most High,
who sees a vision from the Almighty,
who bows down with eyes wide open:
I see him, but not here and now.
I perceive him, but far in the distant future.
A star will rise from Jacob;
a scepter will emerge from Israel.
It will crush the heads of Moab’s people,
cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth.‍

Numbers 24:15-17

God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
Numbers 23:19

• Balak, the ungodly king of Moab, was fearful of Israel. 
• Balak looked for a prophet who would curse Israel and bring him victory. 
• Balaam was a true prophet, with a wicked heart. 
• Balaam was willing to curse God’s people for the right price. 
• 2 Peter 2:15
• Jude 1:11
• God prevented Balaam from cursing His people. 
• For a total of seven times, Balaam actually spoke blessings upon Israel. 
• He does actually tempt Israel into dishonoring the name of the God of Israel. 
• In this “blessing”, Balaam prophesied of a Star or Scepter that would arise in Israel. 
• He told of a great King that would come forth to conquer all of Israel’s enemies. 
• A wicked man told of the bright Morning Star that would bring an end to wickedness. 
• Christ is the One that will fully and finally stop the raging of nations. 
• Jesus speaks of Balaam. 
• Revelation 2:14
• There is an enemy. 
• He uses the compromise of truth to ruin the testimony of God’s people. 
• Don’t be fooled.

Know Truth. Hold fast. Stay faithful.
