That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind. Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes. A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD closed the door behind them.

• God decided to destroy the world, because the world was self-destructing.
• God decided to judge the world and save the world.
• He decided to destroy the world and deliver the world.
• Into this dark world, grace has come.
• Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God.
• From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture shows God’s grace again and again.
• In Genesis 3, God shows His grace in judgment.
• Adam and Eve are not allowed to eat from the Tree of Life in their fallen state.
• God’s judgment sends them out of the Garden, and protects them as well.
• In Genesis 4, God shows His grace in judgment.
• Cain is banished, and God protects Him.
• Grace is the only reason Noah gets on the boat.
• The Lord chooses to give Him grace.
• God would judge the world through a flood.
• God would save the world through a man.
• Salvation was available to all that would enter through the Door.
• We don’t deserve salvation, but in God’s grace…He offers salvation to us all.
• He offers us the Door.
• So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
