So Cain left the LORD’s presence and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Genesis 4:16

• Each time we sin, we should repent and make things right with God. Cain never repented. He thought only of himself.
• Each time we sin, we should repent and live for the glory of God. Cain built a city for himself.
• Each time we sin, we are moving further from the presence and rest of God. Cain settled east of Eden.

Abel offered God His first, and best.

Today, I’m convicted of not always offering my best to the Lord.

Handle my sin rightly so I don’t find myself away from His presence and rest.
