But from there you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.
Deuteronomy 4:29
We can see ourselves as we read Deuteronomy 4:27-28.
We live in a foreign land.
We won’t live here long.
We break the Lord’s covenants.
We worship idols of wood and stone.
Because of these truths, we should seek Him, and His forgiveness.
Seek God with (with all heart and soul):
New Testament Seeking
When we seek, we find; the question is what or who are we seeking?
“The Lord here encourages sinners to turn to himself, and find abundant grace. He encourages sinners who had violated his plainest commandments, who had made idols, and so had corrupted themselves, and had consequently been visited with captivity, and other chastisements — he invites them to turn from their evil ways, and seek his face.” - Charles Spurgeon
Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the LORD your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes.
Deuteronomy 4:34
God still uses trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts to move His people… His children.
Never stop seeking the Lord and seeking Him with all my heart and soul.
