Keep all my decrees by putting them into practice, for I am the LORD who makes you holy.
Leviticus 20:8
Shame the name is mentioned many times in today’s reading.
Do I shame the name of God? If so, how?
Keep my statutes and do them; I am the LORD who sanctifies you. Leviticus 20:8 (ESV)
Keep: shamar: keep, guard, observe, give heed
Do: asah: to make, to accomplish, to perform, to act
Old Testament Covenant: A transactional covenant
New Testament Covenant: A relational covenant
When we realize all that He did so He can have a relationship with us, we will want to demonstrate our gratitude and faithfulness to Him by keeping and doing all He commands.
Live a faithful life, keeping and doing, honoring the relational covenant Jesus died to give me.
Hello everyone! Recently, we experienced a problem with the "complete/incomplete" function of Read Thru the Word. We are excited to say that this function has been restored and should provide a more robust solution for the future. However, 2025 lessons that you have marked as "complete" now show as "incomplete." There are two ways to approach this: One- you can sleep well with the knowledge that you've completed January and most of February, and continue to mark "complete" on lessons moving forward. Two- If you love seeing the little blue check marks on your 2025 grid, you’ll need to revisit January and February lessons and mark them as complete again. Thank you for your patience as we work to provide an amazing daily experience while you Read Thru the Word!
