And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:28 

This promise does not say:

• all things are good.
• all people receive it.

The promise does say

• Everything, good and bad, sweet and bitter, easy and difficult, joyful and sorrowful will work together.
• For those who love the Lord.

Well, of course I love God.

This love (agapáō):

• Does what God prefers
• Embraces God’s Will
• Obeys God’s command through His power
• Commits to the well-being of others regardless of cost or reciprocation

I never thought about creation being subject to the curse against its will, and will also one day be set completely free.

Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.
