Pilate went away before he heard the truth. How often do I leave the presence of Jesus before I get the answer to the question I asked?

When I am desperate, I am likely to make a life-changing decision.

• Pilate was desperate to keep the peace, so he rushed his decision.

When I refuse to listen to wise counsel, I am likely to make a life-changing decision.

• Mrs. Pilate tried to offer her mister wise counsel.

When I allow myself to be influenced by others, I am likely to make a life-changing decision.

• Pilate allowed the crowd to dictate his response.

Our lesson: To avoid making bad life-alternating decisions, wait with the Lord for the answer I need for my solution. 

Sit with Jesus long enough/often enough to receive the solution to my situation. Don’t make a decision until I have peace from Him.
