• Light versus darkness has been the theme throughout all Scripture. 
• God is Light in Genesis 1. 
• Darkness enters through sin in Genesis 3. 
• God’s Law gives Light. 
• Israel is a Light for the Nations. 
• The prophets speak of the Light coming. 
• Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. 
• The gospel message of Jesus Christ shines into the darkness of sin and brokenness. 
• God is the only true source of light, and He shines the truth and knowledge of Jesus Chrst into our hearts so we can see clearly the hope of salvation. 
• Christ has shone His light on us and we are called to respond as Children of the Light.
