Jesus and his disciples left Galilee and went up to the villages near Caesarea Philippi. As they were walking along, he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”

 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other prophets.”

Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

Peter replied, “You are the Messiah.”  But Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him.

Jesus usually healed immediately, but in Mark 8:22-26 He healed in stages.

Who was/is Jesus?

• God with us–dwelt among us–tabernacles with us– “The strong possibility that Jesus was born at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles is also seen in the words John wrote in John 1:14. ‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’ (NKJV) The word John chose to speak of Jesus ‘dwelling’ among us is the word tabernacle, which simply means to ‘dwell in a tent.’” What is the Feast of Tabernacles / Booths / Sukkot?

Jesus was not always who others expected:

• People didn't expect their Messiah to die.
• People looked for an earthly king.

Search for and know the real Jesus.
