Listen to this message that the LORD has spoken against you, O people of Israel—against the entire family I rescued from Egypt:
“From among all the families on the earth, I have been intimate with you alone. That is why I must punish you for all your sins.”

Listen to me, you fat cows living in Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy, and who are always calling to your husbands, “Bring us another drink!”

• God chose to make Himself known through a people. 
• God wrote His story of love for mankind through telling their story. 
• Genesis 12
• God took the initiative. 
• Through His grace and mercy, God called Abram to be the father of His people Israel. 
• Deuteronomy 7
• God loved His people. 
• His people were to be different from all the families of the earth. 
• God gave His people grace. 
• God gave His people revelation. 
• God gave His people promises. 
• They are His people. 
• He is their God. 
• They defiled His name. 
• They chose sin to define them instead of being known as His. 
• They chose to neglect their call of being a blessing to all the other nations. 
• To whom much is given, much is required. 
• Luke 12:48
• We have been entrusted with much. 
• We have God’s grace. 
• We have God’s Word. 
• We have the Gospel. 
• He expects us to steward it well. 

Be faithful stewards of all that God has given us: grace, revelation, the Gospel.
