When the army of Judah arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim and shouted to Jeroboam and all Israel: “Listen to me!”

2 Chronicles 13:4

Yarobam: yaw-rob-awm'

Don’t you realize that the LORD, the God of Israel, made a lasting covenant with David, giving him and his descendants the throne for Israel forever?
2 Chronicles 13:5

Do you really think you can stand against the kingdom of the LORD that is led by the kingdom of David? You may have a vast army, and you have those gold calves that Jeroboam made as your gods?
2 Chronicles 13:8

So, you see, God is with us. He is our leader. His priests blow their trumpets and lead us into battle against you. O people of Israel, do not fight against the LORD, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed!”
2 Chronicles 13:12

The secret to their confidence was their faithfulness to God and His ways. Reread 2 Chronicles 13:4-11. They remained faithful to God, and though the odds were against them (Israel had great strategies and numbers), they were victorious.

The Bible is full of unnamed individuals that God used for His purpose.

This man speaks to the altar. Speaking to the altar is very interesting. I wonder why God had him speak to the altar.

Then at the Lord’s command, he shouted, “O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.”
1 Kings 13:2

Live faithful so that I can face my opposition with confidence and authority. Then, handle my opposition with authority… because I have the authority.
