• The 12 tribes are now taking the land of the promise. 
• Judah’s allotment is largest. 
• Understanding the tribe of Judah helps us see God’s eternal sovereignty. 
• Judah’s purpose: Genesis 29:35
• Judah’s plotting: Genesis 37:26-27
• Judah’s change: Genesis 38:26
• Judah’s future: Genesis 49:8-12
• Judah will bring praise to God. 
• God often called Judah into battle first. 
• King David was from the tribe of Judah. 
• Messiah is prophesied to come from Judah. 
• After David and Solomon’s deaths, Judah was the only tribe that remained loyal to the ways of David. 
• During the Babylonians exiles the sons of Judah, the Judahites, gave us the modern term “Jew.”
• Jesus was a member of the tribe of Judah both through His mother’s lineage and His earthly father’s lineage. 
• The prophecy and blessing given to Judah finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. 
• Revelation 5:4-5

God began a plan that He will fulfill. Never doubt. He keeps all of His promises…we just aren’t there yet. 

“For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”
