That same hour the judgment was fulfilled, and Nebuchadnezzar was driven from human society.

Daniel 4:33a

King Nebby was given time, twelve months, to humble himself. He was told King Nebuchadnezzar, please accept my advice. “Stop sinning and do what is right. Break from your wicked past and be merciful to the poor. Perhaps then you will continue to prosper” (Daniel 4:27).

• Stop sinning.
• Do what is right.
• Break from your past.
• Show mercy to the poor.

The Lord offers an invitation of salvation to future Jerusalem in Isaiah 55:6-7 (NIRV)

• Turn to the Lord before it’s too late. Call out to him while he’s still ready to help you. Let those who are evil stop doing evil things. And let them quit thinking evil thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord. The Lord will show them his tender love. Let them turn to our God. He is always ready to forgive.

We’ve been given time to humble ourselves:

• The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
  2 Peter 3:9 (AMPC)

• For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
  John 3:16 (ESV)

We will be humbled.

• But he gives more grace. Therefore, it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
  James 4:6 (ESV)

He is coming back. He has given us time to humble ourselves. Those who don’t will wish they were eating grass; there fate is so much worse. Our time to humble ourselves is coming to an end.

• For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

The one Temple not mention is the one Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV).
