We aren’t treating God as the great King that He is when we offer God less than our best, insincere worship, and second-best sacrifices.
Worship
Noun: reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.
Verb: to feel an adoring reverence or regard for (any person or thing).
Worship is more than congregational singing on Sunday morning. We worship, honor and pay reference and homage to God through our:
We complain about not sensing God’s closeness, hearing His voice, experiencing confident faith, or tasting His goodness, yet continue to offer Him shallow, insincere, and second-best worship.
What causes us to offer shallow, insincere, and second-best worship?
Many sacrifices were offered on that joyous day, for God had given the people cause for great joy. The women and children also participated in the celebration, and the joy of the people of Jerusalem could be heard far away.

Even though women were permitted to attend the festival, they weren’t required. So here at this dedication they attended.
Offer God more than He deserves. Ask Him to reveal what is contemptible, shallow, and insincere about my worship.
