This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying, The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.

Haggai 1:2

I am always inspired by Daniel’s devotion to his prayer life.

Yesterday we talked about rebuilding

• Rebuilding requires leadership, godly leadership.
• Rebuilding is costly.
• Rebuilding is fearful.
• Rebuilding is easier with help.
• Rebuilding is often opposed.

Sometimes we say, “Since this is so hard, I must be out of God’s will, He must not want me to do this.”

We stop short of our assignment because of:

• Difficulty in the task
• Doubt that we heard God correctly    
• Indecision among those involved

These cause us to:

• stop, and offer excuses to appease ourselves.
• grow content in the stopping.

There problem was priorities. They got tired of working in ruins, and got sidetracked in restoring their own property and taking care of their own homesteads.

Don’t stop until God says to stop. I will know when.
