Isaiah 12:3

False gods will always lead to my ruin.He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus who had defeated him, for he said, “Since these gods helped the kings of Aram, they will help me, too, if I sacrifice to them.” But instead, they led to his ruin and the ruin of all Judah.

2 Chronicles 28:23

But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
John 4:14

The wells of the world will never satisfy a thirst that can only be quenched by the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah was painting a beautiful picture of the salvation of God by talking about something they knew about, water. A well

• was a well of life
• a reliable source of something that is absolutely necessary
• a precious gift

In the desert climate of the enemy state in which we live, God’s gift of salvation,

His well of salvation is

• Life
• A reliable source of what is absolutely necessary
• Precious gift
