About Casting and Caring

• Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
  Psalm 55:22 (ESV)
  Cast: shâlak (shaw-lak) :to throw, cast, hurl, fling
  Burden: yᵉhâb (yeh-hawb’) burden, lot (that which is given to you)

• Casting all your anxieties on him, because He cares for you.
  1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)
  Cast: epirrhíptō (ep-ir-hrip’-to) to throw upon, place upon

• Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.“

  Burden: phortízō (for-tid’-zo) overload (pack up), causing someone to be (literally) “weighted-down.”
