RTW 2023

This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. We are writing to God’s holy people in the city of Colosse, who are faithful brothers and sisters in Christ. May God our Father give you grace and peace.

Colossians 1:1-2

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Colossians 1:21-22

• Ephesians and Colossians were written around the same time.
• Ephesians tell us about the Body.
• Colossians tells about the Head of the Body, Jesus Christ.
• Paul explains to us the deeper life that Christians should have in Christ.
• Established
• Firm
• All in all
• Living as a Christians is living in Christ, and Christ living in us.
• We should be filled with a knowledge of Christ’s will.
• We should know how to live a Christlike life.
• We should keep from error from Christ’s wisdom in us.
• We should walk in a manner worthy of Christ.
• We should be fruitful in Christ.
• We should increase in knowledge of Christ.
• We should be thankful for the life available in Him.
• He is everything.

Remember that the life in Christ is supposed to be a deep life…and the Word is the key.
