But the weather changed abruptly, and a wind of typhoon strength (called a “northeaster”) burst across the island and blew us out to sea.
Acts 27:14
The captain and crew listened to Paul. This is astounding.
God will ride out every storm with us. Storms we create, or storms He allows to be created.
Storms can
- be slow Acts 27:7
- be difficult Acts 27:7
- be met with struggles Acts 27:8
- present moments that look like won’t make it Acts 27:13
- offer abrupt “wind” changes Acts 27:14
- make us give up and let the “wind” take us Acts 27:15
When, not if, the storm comes:
- Be encouraged, God’s plan will prevail, even we have to be shipwrecked for a while
So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said.
Acts 27:25 - The storm may continue
About midnight on the fourteenth night of the storm, as we were being driven across the Sea of Adria, the sailors sensed land was near.
Acts 27:27 - We have to completely trust God, cut the anchors that are holding us in the storm, and allow ourselves to drift to the place of safety He has for us.
So the soldiers cut the ropes to the lifeboat and let it drift away.
Acts 27:32 - Because with God, there is always a shore on the horizon
When morning dawned, they didn’t recognize the coastline, but they saw a bay with a beach and wondered if they could get to shore by running the ship aground.
Acts 27:39
There will be storms, one right after the other. I must completely trust God, cut the anchors that are holding me there, and allow to drift to the place of safety He has for me.https://youtu.be/X2FqFLKisys
