Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.

Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”

• Revelation must be read without the “lens of another”.
• There are many interpretations of the book; realize which one you have been taught, and be aware of others.
• John is writing to a persecuted church.
• The unveiling of the Christ is shown.
• His revelation is given to John.
• The whole book is meant to comfort Christians that evil is not winning…it is being destroyed!
• We are told to listen and understand.
• Jesus knows.
• God is sovereign over our circumstances.
• Satan inflicts pain on God’s people.
• God limits Satan.
• Satan will try to seduce God’s people.
• God will give them the power to remain faithful.
• God wants His people to be faithful and endure to the end.
• Endurance. Faithfulness. Perseverance.
