Scripture:

1 JOHN 4:7-5:21, 2 JOHN 1:1-13, 3 JOHN 1:1-15

God Sent His Son

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

1 John 4:9-10

My Take Aways

Something Old

Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

1 John 4:14

Something New

  • Today we celebrate the Incarnation.
  • The incarnation of Christ is His embodiment in the flesh.
  • God the Father chose the Son to accomplish His plan of redemption.
  • The Son willingly left His throne and came to earth to redeem us.
  • He was fully God, but gave up His privileges for us.
  • He was fully man, became human and was born as a baby.
  • His name was Jesus.
  • The weary world rejoiced.
  • Hebrews 10:5
  • John 1:14
  • Today we remember the Incarnation.
  • We think on the mystery.
  • We consider His life and death.
  • We look forward to His second coming.
  • Chris Tomlin – Emmanuel (Hallowed Manger Ground) [Lyric Video]

Something To Do

Remember the Incarnation. Remember His Life and Death. Look forward to His coming again.
