So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

‍2 Timothy 1:8-9

Teach these things, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life.

‍1 Timothy 6:2b-3

• Paul’s final letter reads like his last will and testament.
• He knows that he will soon die and sends a letter to Timothy to encourage and train him.
• Timothy will carry on the work that Paul started.
• Timothy will need to grow and strengthen the church at Ephesus.
• Timothy will face persecution.
• Timothy needs motivation.
• He will need the motivation in his heart to not shrink back.
• Timothy needs the proper attitude.
• He needs an attitude of courage.
• He must be bold.
• He must not compromise.
• He must be ready for confrontation.
• He must be strong in his convictions.

• Get out of His way, and let God work through you!
• Not just Timothy..but us too!
