• parents
• church
• Bible study group
• mentor
• a youth camp or other church experience
• family
• faith
• In Read Thru the Word

If I don’t have a root system, I am vulnerable to

• the world’s pull
• Satan’s schemes
• the aftermath of spiritual disappointments
• sin’s temptations

Cultivated a deep root system requires:

• Uninterrupted time with God
• Undivided devotion to God
• Uncompromised obedience to God

Along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons; Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.

I love that women weren’t discouraged or prohibited to follow and support Jesus.

Be committed to cultivate a deep root system. It is the only way to make it through this life this side of heaven.
