Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

John 8:12

As the time drew near for him to ascend to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.
Luke 9:51

Jesus, knowing what laid ahead for Him, how others would respond to Him, and who would betray Him, continued to serve, love, and teach.

I can’t comprehend this.

The world offers lots of lights, that offer a life that will end.

The Light, the only light that leads to life… real life…. everlasting life is Jesus.

Being a Follower of the Light is a tremendous blessing

• never walk in darkness

Being a Follower of the Light is a tremendous responsibility

• reflect the Light

A Follower of the Light

• is not sinless; a Follower of Christ sins less.
• stays close to the light, in order to be aware of any impending darkness.
• takes all steps necessary to stay illumined with the love and light of Christ. (Worship. Prayer. Reading and obeying the Bible.)
