Terah lived for 205 years and died while still in Haran.Genesis 11:32
After his son Haran died, Terah took his family and headed to Canaan. Acts says that the move was prompted by the appearing of the glory of God to Abraham while they were still in Ur of the Chaldeans (Babylon). Terah stopped short of his destination, and with him, Abram stopped short of the glory of God’s appearing.
Haran
Haran is often a place the Believer stops on the way to obedience, and it is a dangerous place.
Haran is just outside of where God has instructed me to be. Outside of God’s instructions there is:
“Half-way obedience increases our responsibility, because it is a plain confession that we know the Lord’s will, though we do it not.” – Charles Spurgeon

Don’t stop in Haran for a bad trade.
