Jacob spent so much of life afraid, in fear of what “might” happen.

The might:

• Steals our present peace.
• Keeps us from enjoying the now.
• Paralyzes us from moving forward.

This is not how we are supposed to live. Yes… we will be afraid but we don’t have to stay afraid.

What do we do when we feel afraid?

• Seek the Lord. He will deliver you from the fear.
  I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.He freed me from all my fears.
  Psalm 34:4
• Remember fear is not from the Lord.
  For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
  2 Timothy 1:7
• Cast our cares on the Lord.
  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
  1 Peter 5:7
• Put our trust in God.
  But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
  Psalm 56:3
