When I have no sparkle…

• Hear the Word
  So, faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

• Seek the Lord
  Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!

When I once had a sparkle, but it’s gone now

• Ask for it to be restored
  Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten the eyes [of my faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest I sleep the sleep of death,

• Continue to hear the Word, do the Word, seek the Lord, trust the Lord, and believe the Lord until your sparkle returns.

There is no clear meaning of this description, but it makes me sad. I’ve had seasons of my life when my eyes are sparkleless.
