John’s adult life was characterized by devotion and surrender to Jesus Christ and His kingdom.

John explained his work clearly

• to prepare the way of the LORD.

His message was simple, clear, and direct

• “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
  Matthew 3:2

We are Ye-s. Our mission is the same as John the Baptist.

Encourage people to repent and be saved. Matthew 19:20

• Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (NLT)

Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be). (AMPC)
