But the people of the town were divided in their opinion about them. Some sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

My Takeaways

Something Old

Opposition isn’t an excuse for:

Staging a showdown.
Silencing the message.

Opposition can mean it’s time to, shake the dust off of our sandals.

Shaking the dust off one’s feet is freedom to:

Move to the next ministry assignment without guilt or shame.
Trust God with the seeds that were planted.
Not take the rejection of the message personally.
Continually pray for those you walk away from.

Something New

The Holy Spirit spoke! One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.”

Something To Do

There is no excuse for not preaching the gospel with our words or our actions.
