The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.” Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
Acts 8:29-31

As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?”

• Do we recognize the Spirit’s leading?
• Do we expect the Spirit’s guidance?
• Do we ask the Spirit to lead us?
• Do we faithfully obey?
• At just the right moment the Lord brought these two together.
• Philip was responsive to the Spirit’s moving in his life.

• God is always at work around you.
• God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
• God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
• God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
• God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
• You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
• You come to know God by experience, as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His work through you.
