Chaser: a drink drunk after another of a different kind

The words we chase our prayers with are also powerful to our belief in God and His ability to work our situation.

Words have power over our mind and our belief system.

What about my words?

• Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips.
  Psalm 141:3

• Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.
  Proverbs 13:3

• Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
  Proverbs 18:21 (ESV)

• Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
  Ephesians 4:29

• For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.
  1 Peter 3:10

With what words do I chase my prayers?

• Positive? Confidence building? Praising? Forward-moving?

What about my heart?

• Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
  Proverbs 4:23

What am I putting in my heart?

Godly, spirit-lifting, life-giving information?
or
Life-draining, me-first, mind-numbing worldly information?

What I am putting into my heart, mind, and spirit will eventually come out of my mouth and will determine my outlook?

Chase my prayers with scripture, praise, thanksgiving, and confidence-building words and phrases.
