The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need
Psalm 23:1
We do not get to choose our valley, but we can be certain our Shepherd provide everything we need for the trip.
When the Lord is my Shepherd:
- I have everything I want, so why do I look elsewhere for satisfaction, fulfillment, joy and peace?
- I am renewed in the beautiful places He selects for me to rest, so why do I seek the things and ways of this world to rebound from a difficult valley?
- I don’t have be afraid because I am not alone, so why do I fear?
- I am safe; He defends and protects me with His rod and staff, so why do I exhaust myself trying to prove I’m right, and defend my actions?
- I will have victory over all my enemies, and they get to see me win, so why do I deplete my energy in a battle I’ve already won?
- I can expect His goodness and unfailing love to pursue me as long as I live, so why don’t I slow down and let myself be caught?
- I will live in the house of the Lord forever, so why am I working so hard to furnish an earthly home?
Oh, LORD, I give my life to You.Psalm 25:1I have trusted Him with my eternity, but I have really given Him my life.
Worship my Shepherd and praise Him for His faithfulness to me.
