But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.
Psalm 77:11

God has a historical precedence for how He deals with rebellious nations.

But now, why have You broken down our walls so that all who pass by may steal our fruit? The wild boar from the forest devours it, and the wild animals feed on it.
Psalm 80:12-13

The Psalmist tells us exactly how God responds to a nation that doesn’t turn back to God.

But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around. So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas.
Psalm 81:11-12

For a nation to have revival, God’s people, living in the nation must seek personal revival. Believers in America need to be revived from our:

• lust for things of the world.
• entanglement with the systems of the world.
• fascination with fandom, and idolatry for things and people that have nothing to do with God.
• pursuit of notoriety and standing center stage in the story of our life.

My response must be… it has to be to pursue personal revival and to encourage other Believers to do the same.

This is a brave prayer to pray. What if the one praying lives in a nation who doesn’t acknowledge God?

Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge you— on kingdoms that do not call upon your name.
Psalm 79:6
