We are bidden to betray our Lord multiple times a day.

The invite comes

• In the gossip at the lunch table at work.
• The business trip out of town.
• Through an internet search.
• In an ad as we scroll through our social media.
• In the print we view as we wait with our groceries in the “12 items or less” line.
• In an email from a friend, who forwarded an email from a friend.

Decline the invite.

• Delete the email.
• Unsubscribe from the site.
• Block the friend.
• Set high controls on my computer and give the setting password to a friend.
• Spend more time in my Bible than on my device.
• Change the channel.
• Fast from social media and all things internet related other than that required for work.
• Fill my ears with praise rather than podcasts, even godly ones.

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Proverbs 4:23

How do I guard my heart?

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
